{"id":1267,"date":"2022-06-23T13:40:13","date_gmt":"2022-06-23T13:40:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eastcentral.edu\/board-policies\/?page_id=1267"},"modified":"2026-04-01T13:41:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T13:41:08","slug":"job-descriptions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.eastcentral.edu\/board-policies\/personnel\/job-descriptions\/","title":{"rendered":"5.3 Job Descriptions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>(Approved 8-14-1989; Revised 5-12-2003; Reaffirmed 11-4-2013)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Office of Human Resources will maintain accurate job descriptions for each regular position at the College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Procedures<\/strong> <em>(Revised 11-4-2013)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>5.3.1 Job Description Contents<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The information contained in each job description will include a summary of the position&#8217;s classification level, primary duties, essential tasks, positions supervised, educational\/work experience requirements, physical requirements, and other relevant functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>5.3.2 Responsibility for Accuracy of Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Office of Human Resources, in conjunction with the department supervisor, appropriate Vice President, and the President of the College, will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and revising job descriptions. The performance evaluation process includes a review of the employee\u2019s job description.
